Nuclear Power in the Post-Fukushima Age

Nathan Myhrvold, the former Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft, recently wrote an op-ed in the New York Times about the importance of using logic rather than fear or emotion to solve the energy production problem facing the growing world.

It’s interesting that many of the established, industrialized countries such as the United States, Germany, and Switzerland shy away from the production of energy by nuclear power, while many of the countries experiencing massive growth, such as Brazil, South Africa, India, and China freely embrace the construction of new plants.  One has to wonder about the strategic implications.
